There are several large-size LCD panels on imall such as 5.0 inches and 7.0 inches, and the large panels are generally using Para RGB interface. The module made by ITEAD SUTDIO adopts SSD1963 or CPLD to perform control transformation and offers a 40pin data interface, so that more microcontrollers can use this parallel 40 pin interface to control panel for display. Previously, we fabricated a UTFT library based Henning and ported a display demo so that Raspberry Pi can drive a 2.8-inch screen to realize simple GUI display . Now we found that A10 chip is actually equipped with RGB LCD interface , which means it directly supports Parallel RGB interface mode on the panel. On Iteaduino Plus , pins were all broken out to the femal headers on the edge of the board, so we are now trying to develop an adapter board to connect to a 7.0-inch display panel and then light the screen through driver in the system. It just a prototype board for testing, and after we confirming that this solution works, we will make a new LCD plug or LCD adapter add on for Iteaduino Plus.
In fact, we are not quite good at driver development in linux, but we will try our best to do it, and we are not able to predict how long it will take to accomplish this function.
